Merry Christmas!

We had a great Christmas! Mimi was still here so we were able to celebrate with her. Anna had fun opening her presents and we had fun watching her.

Reading to Mimi.
Checking out the tree with Daddy on Christmas morning.
"Thanks for this great bib, Aunt Jessy! My daddy loves it, too!"
Anna got a set of baking set from the Carters for her birthday. We put it all in a cupboard in the kitchen so she can get it out herself. She puts the utensils in the pots and stirs them around. It cracks me up!

One Year Old!

What a fun weekend we had! We had visitors from out of town and a party with balloons and cupcakes. What more could a one year old hope for? We had so much fun watching Anna on Saturday. She was literally smiling, laughing and running around throughout the entire party. She knew she was the birthday girl and she was enjoying the attention!
The family posing behind the birthday shrine. Check out the amazing cupcake display Pappy made!
Reading Aunt Jessy before the party.
Chasing Lauren. This was basically the expression on Anna's face the whole day.
This looks so good!
It IS so good!
Oh my gosh, this is the best thing I have ever eaten!
Should I put it on my head?
I can't believe I ate the whole thing!
I'm one and I am feeling sooooooo big!
Having a moment with Mimi and Aunt Jessy.
Saying good-bye to Aunt Peggi. They couldn't keep their eyes off of each other!
Cuddling in the morning with Mamom and Pappy.
Checking out all of her cool presents. Is there anything left to give her for Christmas?

What has Anna been doing?

Reading to Kitty while sitting at her new table (happy birthday from Mommy and Daddy).
Having dinner with some friends.
Pushing Kitty in the shopping cart.
Rehearsing for the "got cottage cheese?" commercial.
Waving to the crowd from her new wagon (thanks Grandpa Eric!).

Squeakers!

The funniest thing about these videos is when I play them back and show them to Anna, she does everything I ask her to do in the video. She waves, she says "bye-bye," she does the sign for all done. It never fails.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We spent a wonderful Thanksgiving in Florida at Jeff's parents' house. Anna loved hanging out with her Uncle Kevin and Soon-to-be Aunt Kim. She waved to them every time they walked in the room. Here she is giving Aunt Kim a kiss.
Anna's first golf cart ride. I hear she loved it!
Thanksgiving dinner. Yum!
Singing with Mamom after dinner.
"I'm full!"
This is completely normal if you live in Weeki Wachee, Florida.
When we got home we started getting ready for Christmas. Click here to see Anna's visit with the man in red.

Maybe next year...

Pumped for the game. Feeling confident.
Starting to look a little nervous.
Utter disbelief. Luckily Mommy and Daddy didn't stay sad for too long.
Despite the upsetting loss, we had a great Saturday as it was our 8th Annual Pre-Thanksgiving Party. We had a lot of friends over and ate a ton of delicious food. Many of the kids wore college gear to support their (parents') favorite team. Anna and another friend were twinsies! This isn't the best shot, but you get the idea. Yes, that is a giant turkey in our yard. We put it up for the party every year. Anna thought it was hilarious.
On Sunday Anna represented the team that actually won on Saturday. Go Duke Dogs!
Watching Daddy rake the leaves, again.

Is this normal?

The girl LOVES to put food on her head. I don't really understand, but I'm assuming it's normal. I do realize it isn't normal to give a baby yogurt on a tray and expect her to eat it neatly, but she is really in to feeding herself. What didn't go on her head made it in her mouth (sort of).
Notice the chunk of broccoli on her head.
Today is Lauren's birthday! I tried to get Anna to hold this sign for her, but this was the best I could do.
Don't look so sad, girls. It's a party.
On Saturday we celebrated Lauren's birthday at her house with lots of friends and family. Lauren put on an excellent show eating her cake. It was so fun to watch! Happy Birthday, Lauren!

I forgot!

I meant to include these pics in the last post. My dad brought this cute little outfit for Anna when he visited in the spring. The shirt showed a little of her belly, which Jeff didn't like, so we had to replace it with the bling onesie. Love the sweater! Aren't jeans on babies just the cutest thing in the world?
I also forgot to post the most exciting news of the week...Anna got her first tooth on Monday! One of her bottom teeth poked through, and I think the one next to it is about to come in, too. I doubt we will have a picture of it any time soon, but I'm trying.

Anna Update

We took this at The Forum, an outdoor shopping area near our house, two weeks ago. I kept forgetting to post it.
Aren't the shoes great? My Aunt Erna gave us the sweater, shirt, and shoes for my shower last year in Michigan. I've been patiently waiting to get those purple bows on her feet!
We spent some time with the Carters and Sagers this weekend. As you can see, the kids love playing together.
There, that's better.
Anna helped me pack a box of treats for the troops in Iraq. We found an address and what to send at anysoldier.com.
My birthday was on Saturday and Anna was very interested in my flower cake. Isn't it cool?
My new baby. The best present ever! Thanks Jeff!
