Merry Christmas!

We had a great Christmas!
But, before we get to that, we need to share a few birthday gifts from last week. Here is Anna on her soooooo cute PINK tricycle from Grandpa Eric. We were able to take it outside today and give it a try. She needs to grow about two more inches before she can really push the pedals, so by spring she should be all set!
Anna got a really cool craft kit from "The Other Anna" for her birthday and we had fun playing with it on a rainy day last week.
Here she is hard at work, gluing and crafting.
Just a cute picture of Anna and her daddy.
Anna got to join us in "big church" on Christmas Eve for the children's service. The kids put on a very cute play and Anna could not get enough. She sat in the aisle so she wouldn't miss a second of it.
Christmas morning! Anna looked so cute in her special nightgown and was so excited to see that Santa ate the cookies and milk that we left out. Actually, she was excited that he left a small piece so she could eat it.
She's ready to hit the fairways with Daddy!
She got a lot of great gifts, but I think her favorite was the pink kitty golf club cover she gave to Mamom. I was afraid she wasn't ever going to let go of it!
Then we moved to the basement for two more gifts. Grandpa Eric sent an easel.
Chalk on one side and paper on the other. She was really into the chalk.
Draw, erase. Draw, erase. Draw, erase.
And the grand finale...a playhouse! It is in the basement right now, but we will move it outside eventually. It is so cute with a front porch, a sink inside, and a doorbell!
Oh, there is a phone, too.
What a Merry Christmas we had!

Two Years Old!

I can't believe our baby is two! We had the best weekend celebrating with lots of family and friends. Anna says her favorite part of her birthday was her "kitty cat cake" and who can blame her? Her daddy made her (yes, Jeff MADE the whole cake, start to finish) the most special cake and it was cute and delicious! What a lucky girl!
Anna's present from us was this stylish kitchen. She spent part of the day cooking for all of us and she took her work very seriously.
I'm pretty sure this face says it all. What a great party!

We opened presents for three days and I think we are finally done. Here is the special kitty from Aunt Kristin, Taryn, and Mac.
Here is the very realistic kitty from Mamom and Pappy. I think the total kitty count for the weekend was five (not counting the cake) and I can promise you she loves every one!

No pictures, but a laugh

Today I watched my friend Emily's son, Andrew. He is two months older than Anna. This made me laugh.

Me: It's time to change Andrew's diaper!
Anna: I look at Andrew's butt?

Ahhhh, you can't make this stuff up.

An Atlanta Tradition

Christine and I took the girls down to Macy's at Lenox to ride The Pink Pig! The Pink Pig is a little train ride that has been running every Christmas in Atlanta since the 60s.
After the ride we went to California Pizza Kitchen for lunch.
I believe we have a new tradition on our hands!

Grandpa Eric

Grandpa Eric came down for a visit a few weeks ago and we had a great time! First we went to The World of Coke.
Anna's favorite part was the tasting room where she got to taste sodas from all over the world!
I figured this was the best place for her to have her first taste of soda.
Looks like she liked it!
Thanks for coming Grandpa! We had fun!

The Rest of Mimi's Visit

Making Mommy's birthday cake. Looks like they both had a few licks of the spoon.
Topping the cake with coconut and sprinkles!
Then we played outside and Mimi taught us how to play Duck, Duck, Goose!
Big squeeze!
Daddy came outside, too!
And now, the moment you've all been waiting for....Anna's photography debut! I really like the way she used the light in this one.
Hmmmmm, very interesting perspective. Is she trying to say the lines of society have been blurred?
See how the sun is shining on my hand? Never bite the hand that feeds you? I think you see where she is going with this one.

Happy Halloween!

The Pumpkin Witch
Walking up to the neighborhood party with Daddy and Mimi
She tipped her hat to the organizers of the party
Mommy and her little pumpkin
Stickers!
After the parade through the tennis courts
We had a piece of pizza at the party and then trick or treated at three houses. She kept her hat on and said "trick or treat" on command. So much fun! Happy Halloween!

Pumpkin Patch!

We headed out to Berry Patch Farms on Saturday morning with the Carters and Sagers.
It was a nice, fall day and we had fun!
We braved the crowds of parents all trying to get the perfect picture of their kids. It's not an easy thing to do.
Posed.
Candid.
Getting the three of them in one shot was next to impossible.
I'm pretty sure Harrison is signing "all done."
Here are Anna and her Daddy walking behind the hay ride. Anna refused to get on it.
