Aunt Jessy came to visit!

We took a trip to the zoo.

It is very important to hold hands at the zoo.

Anna wasn't scared of the goats at all.

Saving the best for last...
Anna LOVED the train. If you say "zoo" she yells "TRAIN!" and says, "choo choo!" Next time we will go straight for the train instead of wasting time looking at animals.

17 Months Old

Here is the big girl and one of her favorite kitties.
Time is flying and we just love every minute we get to spend with our girl. She is becoming very independent and is really pushing to do things by herself these days. For example she wants to walk every where we go, go up and down the stairs alone, and climb onto chairs. That's all fine with us, but boy does it take a long time! Patience is for more than just discipline when you have a toddler! She is doing a great job eating with a spoon and fork, which makes for much less mess in the kitchen--except that she now thinks it is funny to throw her food on the floor. I have to watch her like a hawk. Speaking of eating she is really enjoying applesauce, hotdogs (turkey, of course), pineapple, and ice cream. Yes, we broke down and took her for her first baby cone at Brusters. Okay, we've been twice. She loved it, ate every single drop, including the cone, and I can't believe I forgot the camera! Anna is also enjoying sliding (by herself) at the park near our house, The Music Class we go to once a week, and bubbles.

Wedding Weekend

We had a great trip up to Virginia this weekend to celebrate Kim and Kevin's wedding! It was wonderful to see all of the Almstedts again and welcome the newest member to the family.
