One Month and Counting

Anna was one month old on Monday and Jeff and I can't remember what life was like without her (okay, I remember sleeping a lot more...). We were way off on our weight predictions, she is tipping the scales at 9 pounds, 0.5 ounces!! The doctor said babies can gain about an ounce a day, so she is right on track. Obvioulsy Jeff and I hadn't read that anywhere.
This week marked the beginning of Anna and I being alone. No moms to help the new mom. We celebrated by heading out to the mall. We were only there for about 45 minutes, but it was a successful trip (this means no crying, no diaper changes). Anna slept in her own room this week for the first time and seems to like it. Jeff and I are both getting more sleep since we can't hear every single peep she makes throughout the night. Last night she slept the longest she ever has--from 11:00 PM to 4:00 AM. Wow! That means Jeff and I slept the longest we have since her arrival, as well.
Today we had our first official play date with Nathan and Ashley. My friend Lori brought her twins up for a visit and it was fun! She also brought me lunch, which was a nice treat.
Above is the official "Monthly Photo Shot" a la Bella and Glo. We plan to take a picture of Anna every month on the 15th. Check back to watch her grow!

Great job finding time to post on your blog! The picture in the chair is adorable. She will be filling it up before you know it! Take a look at our blog when you get a chance to see the pictures of Anna with Nathan & Ashley.
