but I had to document the first real day of "school."
When I dropped her off it appeared the rest of the class was already there and crying. I handed her over and walked off, just like they asked. I really didn't think she would cry, but maybe she would so she wouldn't be left out?? I headed off to the shoe store and hoped for the best. I must say the three hours went by quickly but I arrived back to pick her with with some time to spare, so I got a nice chance to read for a while in the car. Ahhhhhh. I was so excited to pick her up and she looked happy to see me, too. I got a different report from each of the teachers.
Teacher 1: She was an angel.
Teacher 2: We are going to take a video of her to show the other kids how to come to school!
Teacher 3: She ate double snack.
That all sounded good to me! It was a little crazy with everyone picking up their kids, so I didn't get much more than that. Off we went to speed home for lunch and a nap. I tried to get more information from Anna in the car.
Me: Did you have fun at school?
Anna: Yea.
Me: What did you do?
Anna: Jump.
Me: What did you eat for snack?
Anna: Crackers and bananas.
Interesting, that's exactly what they had last week. I know a mom was supposed to bring snack today. What are the chances she brought the same thing?
Me: Did you play with your friends?
Anna: Anna crying.
That's her friend we like to call "The Other Anna." She was crying during drop-off, so I assumed this was accurate.
Me: What about your teachers? What about Miss Cheryl?
Anna: Nice.
Me: Oh, yes, she is nice! What about Miss Harriett?
Anna: Change poopy diaper.
Me: Well that is really nice of her!
Other than that I didn't get much more until after nap time.
After nap time Anna was hissing like a snake and wiggling her hand in the air. She also ran all around her room buzzing like a bee. I tried to ask if they read a book about snakes or bees or practiced being animals, she said yes to everything. It is just so funny because I wonder what they actually did and if any of what she is "telling " us is true. Oh well! The bottom line is she had fun and I got a nice break. Can't wait until next week!

Anna-you did a lot better than your buddies Bella and Glo. I had to pick them up early on the first day because they wouldn't stop crying! Julie
